Focuses on the artist's cinematic portraits and non-narrative, silent, and black-and-white films from the mid-1960s. Warhol's Screen Tests reveal his lifelong fascination with the cult of celebrity, comprising a visual almanac of the 1960s downtown avant-garde scene. (moma.org)
Warhol's Screen Tests, as well as his iconic Empire, Sleep, Eat and Kiss films have been included in the exhibition.
Taking it one step further, MoMA has invited Flickr members to create their own Screen Test-inspired films. Click this MoMA Warhol exhibition page for more information.
